Oaky’s Tex Mex, the brainchild of Wood Shop BBQ’s owners James Barrington and Matt Davis, brings smoked meat perfection and authentic Tex Mex to Seattle’s Interbay District. 

Located inside of Batch 206 Distillery, Oaky’s is the product of many years of “research” trips to Austin, Texas and the Southwest. Their recent trip along the Tex/Mex border to retrieve Lady Bird, the BBQ family’s newest smoker addition, brought back with them more than just the new equipment.

When they weren’t noshing on BBQ, they found themselves enjoying the comforts of tacos, chiles and queso in local dives and hole-in-the-wall eateries. A play on the name “Forever Oak”, Matt’s family furniture store back in Kansas, Oaky’s was thought up like every great idea the pair has ever had— over cocktails and good food.

Serving up thoughtfully crafted, yet casual comfort food, Oaky’s is sure to tickle the tastebuds of foodies and Tex Mex lovers alike.

May 2nd will be our last, First Thursday Comedy show at Batch 206 Distillery. However, Comedy Distlled will continue on the third Thursday of every month.
